Discretionary Care
Priority access and clinical continuity when circumstances demand more than a weekly appointment.
Service Description
When circumstances demand more than a weekly appointment, you have someone to call. Some periods of life do not fit neatly into one appointment each week. An important decision, major transition, loss, relationship problem, professional pressure, recovery challenge, or rapidly changing situation may require greater continuity and concentrated attention. Discretionary Care reserves clinician capacity for a defined period of time. Instead of purchasing appointments individually, the client is reserving greater access, scheduling flexibility, and continuity around an important situation or demanding period. Care may include sessions of varying frequency or length, priority scheduling, secure messaging, phone or video contact, focused intensive work, and in-home care when clinically appropriate. Discretionary Care is not 24/7 availability, emergency or crisis response, or a substitute for a clinically indicated higher level of care. Acceptance requires consultation and determination that the service is clinically appropriate. $5,000 per month One-month minimum Limited availability Payment received in advance Scheduled therapy: Included Extended time: Included Priority scheduling: Included Secure messaging: Included In-home care: Included when clinically and geographically appropriate Reserved clinician capacity: Included
